My first ever time in game development started when I was 7.
I was using Game Builder Garage, a small little game creation thingy on the Switch,
But I wanted a program that I could make "cutscenes" in.
So I found Scratch and made an account under my gamertag, thejamjam303.
I completely self-taught myself the engine, made a few simple projects and then... quit.
A few months later, I came back to it. I made a few more projects and then stopped yet again.
More than a year later, I came back to it YET AGAIN and worked on Scratch for another 1.5 years.
I made 100+ projects, from physics engines to RPGs.
Each project grew increasingly more advanced.
Before long, I was making amazing animations and insanely complex and math-stricken projects...
And all of this, with no help whatsoever, zero tutorials, and nothing else.
That became my philosophy - to never get help. (idk why)
I got a ton of kids to start using Scratch, before I quit for good to move on to a text-based game engine,
GameMaker. I've made a bunch of projects and that's my forever engine, but that's another story.
In the summer before middle school started, I taught myself JavaScript and HTML to create this site and a cool game,
Which brings us to where we are now.
