After my epic journey with Scratch,
I wanted a more advanced, flexible engine.
I looked through some good text-based coding engines, but eventually settled on one.
GameMaker was perfect because it wasn't too complicated, was extremely flexible, and was used to make hit games
Deltarune and Undertale, Toby Fox!
Once again, I 100% taught myself the engine with no help (what is with me with doing that?)
And created a few simple projects!
Me and my sister (about to explain my sister's role) created an Itch.io account, BeanBees!
We wanted a place to share the game we were going to make in GameMaker, ____ the ____! (name is classified)
Around that time, we were brainstorming ideas for an RPG, ____ the ____! (to be released on Steam)
My sister was making art/narrative/music and I was doing programming/game design/balancing!
A few days after our account creation, we looked for game jams to ready ourselves for work on ____ the ____ to start.
We found the Foodie game jam and worked for 20 days to produce our first semi-professional game, Creature Cafe!
You should play it! (I promise it's not a virus)
A months after that, starting the beginning of Summer, we started production of ____ the ____.
Currently, ____ the ____ still has a long way to go!
We paused work on ____ the ____ to compete in the GMTK Game Jam 2026!
We worked 8 hours a day, working 4 days, to produce the masterpiece Aries Awesome-Tastic Gameshow!
The game includes 5 minigames, dialogue, an awesome narrative, a super emotional ending, puzzles, and more!
